Hi Friends
CTS visited our campus on 20 July 2004.They offer Green set (This Green
set is
different from 5th June’s green set) and Orange set. I have collected
some of them from our juniors.
GREEN SET
5 years back father’s age is 9 times than his daughter’s age. Now,
father’s age is 5 times than daughter. Find the age of daughter.
A man can not remember the seven digit phone number. He only remember
that the first three digits either 637 or 673, remaining 4 digit consist
a nine (9).what should be the number of trial to find the correct
telephone number.
In your cricket team, you have 16 players, among them 5 bowlers and 11
batsmen. You have to make a team of 11 players consisting of at least 3

A shopkeeper gives 10% discount and makes a profit of 20%.A person buys

Given a three digit number 123.Now using this three digit 1,2 and 3 you
have to make three digits number where any of these digits will not in
its correct place wrt 123.( Hint: you cant take 132 as 1 in its correct
place, you cant take 213 also as 3 is in its correct place) find the
number of such three digits number.
In Bombay, the price of anything is 15% less than pune. One person buys
an article at Rs. 110 from Bombay and sells at Rs.150 at pune. What is
His profit on pune’s price list….(cant remember exactly)
A tank can be filled with a cold water pipe in 12 minutes .It can be
filled with a hot water pipe in 9 minutes. Now we open the both pipe.
Again we visit the tank when it is expected to fulfill, we find that
drainage pipe is left open. We close the drainage pipe and after 3
minutes the tank becomes fulfill. What is the time taken by that
drainage pipe to empty a full tank?

ORANGE SET
A triangle has three sides 2x, 2x + 1 and 2x -1. Find out the area of
Triangle.
A can do a work in 8 days. B can do a work in 6 days. A, B and C can do
the same work in 4 days. They got total 750. What is the share of C?
There is a cube whose each side is 12 cm. We paint the cube and then
break it into small cubes whose each side is 3cm. Find out the number of
unpainted cube. Ans.8
There is a cube with each side of 12cm.The cube is painted and break
into some smaller cube of side 4 cm. Find out the number of small cube
which has more than one painted face. Ans. 32
There is a disc with radius 12 cm. We cut a small disc of radius 3 cm
from that disc. Find out the ratio of small disc and remaining portion
of main disc after cutting. We have a square of side 10 cm. We cut four
circle of radius 3 cm. from that square.
Find out the ratio of total area of four circles to the remaining
portion of square.
Sachin drives his car from Bandra to Churchgate at a speed of 85 km. per
hour and returns from there at a speed of 95 km per hour. What is his
average speed?

On his way to Bihar from Mumbai, he gives 10% of total mangoes to ticket
collector (he don’t have a valid ticket). Then he gives 10% of remaining
mangoes to co passengers and 50% of remaining mangoes are found rotten.
At last he has 810 mangoes for sale. What is the number of mangoes
purchased from Mumbai?
