Quantitative:
----------------------
there were puzzle kind of questions for quants. here are few questions i
remember
1)there is a container in which a substance at the time 9.00pm,it
doubles itself for every minute. At what time will the container will be
quarter filled.
a)9.30,b)9.45,c)9.50,c)9.58
ans:9.58,coz at 9.58 it would be quarter full, then at 9.59 half filled,
finally at 10.00 the container would be full.
2)there are 10 boxes containing n number of balls. Except the balls in
one box which weighs 90gm each which are defective, the balls in every
other boxes weigh 100gm each. A group of balls are got after picking
from each box, and weighed. find the number of weighings (m) in which
the defective balls can be found out. for various values of n find out
m. 1)n=3,m=? a)1,b)3,c)5,d)none of these ans:b)3
3)n=1,m=? a)1,b)4,c)5,d)none of these ans: d) none of these 3)n=9,m?
a)1,b)4,c)5,d)none of these ans: d)none of these (hint: for any number
of values of n the answer will be m=2 0r 3,coz we pick one from
eachso,10.divide into 3,3,4 then ans:2 0r 3 )
4)question like a 250kg weight is there it can be weighed using weighing
objects like butts find the minimum number of objects required to find
the weight of 250kg.
Questions from time and work where asked that's all i remember in
quant's.for me the quantitative q's were time consuming, but if we
practice a lot of puzzles we can do it easily. for people who take the
test in future do lots of puzzles.
Analytical:
--------------
1)a passage based on arrangement and 2 questions based on it. (very
easy)
2)a passage based on ordering in height wise between a group of rabbits
and 2 q's based on it (very easy) that's all the q's from analytical in
my qpaper.
logical:
------------
around 4-6q's based on logical. it was ok,we could do it.for those who
have done GRE well it's easy. gre barrons is enough for this section.
English:
-------------
fill in the blank questions, like a sentence will be given with two
blanks in different
places7-8 questions: we have to find out the right option out of the
four given options
which gives correct meaning to the given
sentence. (easy one, basically all the question here is meant to test
our
vocabulary knowledge. not very tough words but, pretty easy ones)
3q's:"morse code" q's were asked (sorry i don't have any idea about it)
a word with certain letters in it left balnk is given and q's are based
on it.
my preferred order of sections:
1)analytical
2)english
3)logical or quantitative |
