Span-Chem Technologies is a 14 year young company that offers chemical cleaning solutions to industry. The company caters primarily to the oil refining sector, power plants, steel plants, fine chemical industries and the HVAC industry. It operates all over India and is in the process of establishing operations in the Middle East. Besides chemical cleaning the company is also involved the business of water treatment equipment and chemicals.

The company has no production facilities and is a service provider with activities being carried out at project sites or plant locations across India.

Chemical Engineer/ Tech. Specialist – Site Operations

Job Description :
The role is that of an Engineer/Technical specialist who is expected to work at project sites/plant locations anywhere in India. During his posting at site the specialist will be responsible for the following activities –

• Entry/Exit Permits for Manpower & Vehicle to Project Site
• Co-ordinating Work with Project/Plant Personnel

Compensation Offered
For Fresh B.Sc. & Diploma candidates the job has a 3 month probation period during which a trainee pay of Rs. 5000/-(+ Rs. 250 mobile allowance) is offered and on completion of the 3 month period a pay of Rs. 7000/-(+ Rs. 250 mobile allowance) is offered along with a permanent post, future increments are after a 6 – 9 month evaluation period.

For Fresh B.E. candidates the job has a 3 month probation period during which a trainee pay of Rs. 6000/- (+ Rs. 250 mobile allowance) is offered and on completion of the 3 month period a pay of Rs. 8500/-(+ Rs. 250 mobile allowance)is offered along with a permanent post, future increments are after a 6 – 9 month evaluation period.

All expenses for site work (food/hotel/mobile/travel) are paid at actuals. The company has a PF/ESIC scheme in place and annual leave of 30 days is offered alongwith compensatory offs (Sundays & Overnight) for site work.

• Executing Actual Job by managing resources allocated in terms of manpower/ equipment/chemicals
• Monitoring process by on-site testing
• Preparing Job Completion Report & Site Handover to Project/Plant Personnel

Site Durations vary from a period of 8 days to 30 days and Engineers/Technical Specialists usually travel with a team of 5 highly experienced workers, larger duration sites usually have 2 specialists and a crew of up to 15 skilled people.

During his period in the office the Engineer/ Technical specialist will be trained to meet clients, discuss their needs, offer solutions, evaluate their jobs and prepare proposals.

Desired Skills :
- Preferably B Sc Graduates OR Diploma Engineers with a Chemical Engineering/Technology Background
- B.E. may be considered for the position
- Candidates with a chemical cleaning background and relevant experience may apply and will be considered for managerial positions.
- ABILITY TO SPEAK HINDI IS ESSENTIAL
