2.Electronic Resources Management / Web Design & Management

Minimum educational qualification : A bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in Computer Science or Electronics or Information Technology .OR. Master's degree in Computer Applications. The applicant should have secured a minimum of First Class or equivalent as declared by University in the qualifying examination. SC/ST candidates with Pass Class will also be considered.

No. of positions : 02 in the Library

Areas of training : The Electronic Resource Management is a unique Programme and provides an opportunity to work in the areas of Library Automation, Digital Library, Database management, maintenance of all servers viz. mail server, web server, database server, etc.; Development and Maintenance of Library web page; Maintenance of all Computers and peripherals; Attending to hardware & software problems including LibSys (software used for management of in-house operations); updation and refinement of e-journals & e-books databases, registrations for e-journals & follow-up, etc

Duration : Two Years w.e.f. 1 January, 2010

Emoluments : Rs.7,500/- p.m. (fixed) in the first year and Rs.8,000/ p.m. (fixed) in the second year.

General Conditions (1) Applicants who possess the minimum qualification as on the date of advertisement and also those who are in the final year / semester, expecting to complete all exams / project and acquire minimum qualification latest by 30 October, 2009 can also apply.(2) Trainees are expected to work on any of the three shifts including night shifts and holidays. No accommodation will be available on the Institute campus during the course of their stay.
