Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is a dynamic

The University invites applications to fill up the
following faculty positions by direct mode of
recruitment :
Eligibility qualification
Assistant Professor in the disciplines of Law, Social
Sciences & English - Good Academic record with a first
class at Master’s degree level or an equivalent grade in
the relevant discipline from an Indian University or an
equivalent degree from a foreign University. Regarding
NET, UGC guidelines shall be followed wherever
applicable from time to time.
Assistant Professor (Other then disciplines of Law,
Social Science & English) – Master’s Degree with a first
class or a equivalent grade in relevant discipline. For
the Candidates not having qualification of M. Tech./MBA,
a Doctoral Degree is a must for the post of Assistant
Professor. Regarding NET, UGC guidelines shall be
followed wherever applicable from time to time.
Required specialization for the posts :
01) Bio-Technology : Ph.D./ M.Tech in the area of
development biology/ bio-chemical engineering/
bio-physics/ bio-informatics.
02) Chemical Technology : Ph.D./ M.Tech. with
specialization in safety hazards & control/ separation
technology/ energy & environment.
03) Computer Science & Engg : Ph.D./ M.Tech. in the area
of Requirement analysis/ Data Mining and Data
Warehousing/ Software Testing /Software Project
Management/ Computer application.
04) Electronics & Comm. Engg : Ph.D./ M.Tech. in the
area of Control Engg./ Circuits & Systems/ Electrical
Machines.
05) Environment : Ph.D. in the area of environment
statistics with master’s in Statistics with knowledge of
GIS/ GPSS application.
06) Humanities & Social Sciences:
i) Linguistics with specialization in sociology/
psychology of communication
ii) Economics with specialization in urban studies.
iii) Philosophy with specialization in Philosophy of
Science/ Management
07) Information Technology: Ph.D./ M. Tech. in the area
of Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics &
Communication with specialization in signal processing/
computer application/ mobile communication/ network
security/ data mining & data warehousing/ software
testing/ software project management.
08) Mechanical & Automation Engg : Ph.D./ M.Tech. in the
area of CAD/ CAM/ System Engg..
09) Management Studies: Ph.D./Master’s in the area of
HR/ OB/ Managerial Economics/ Commerce/ Psychology/
Economics.
10) Natural Resource Management:
(i) For one post; Ph.D. in the area of natural resource
management with botany or zoology at master’s level.
(ii) For second post; Ph.D. In the area of
bio-statistics with statistics at Master’s level
11) Nano Science & Engg. Physics : Ph.D. in the area of
nano material/ solar energy/ accelator physics.
Procedure to Apply :
The application, on the prescribed form, duly filled in,
accompanied by a demand draft of Rs.500/- (exempted for
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled
Tribe, Physically Handicapped categories) drawn in
